The Nudge Unit is a visionary project led by Vito F. Mainolfi, originally conceived as a solo endeavour and a side project of Pentesilea Road. With an experimental approach to sound and storytelling, the project embraces an alternative and boundary-free framework, crafting music and lyrics that evolve organically. For the first time, Vito steps forward as a vocalist, bringing a new depth to his artistic expression.

Vito F. Mainolfi – Bio

Vito F. Mainolfi is a visionary musician, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as the founder of Pentesilea Road. With a passion for progressive rock, alternative soundscapes, and experimental music, Vito has crafted a distinct artistic identity that blends technical mastery with raw emotion.

Originally launching The Nudge Unit as a solo, boundary-pushing project, he expanded the sound alongside talented collaborators, embracing freedom in composition and storytelling. His recent venture sees him stepping into vocals for the first time, adding a new expressive dimension to his music.

With a career rooted in progressive influences, Vito continues to evolve his artistry, challenging conventions and redefining musical landscapes.

Hans Duynhoven – Bio

Dutch keyboardist Hans Duynhoven began his music career at the age of 17, performing in pop groups. Two years later, he transitioned into a professional musician and music educator.

After studying Hammond Organ, Jazz Piano, and Keyboards at the Leeuwarden Conservatory, he went on to teach at various music schools and conservatories. His expertise spanned multiple subjects, including Keyboards, Piano, Organ, Keyboard Methodology, Computer Music, Pop and Jazz Band Coaching, and Big Band Leadership. He also composed music for piano, big bands, and musicals.

For the last twenty years of his career, Hans was affiliated with the Academy of Pop Culture in Leeuwarden, where he supervised pop culture projects and taught Keys and Music Theory.

As a musician, he remained active as a jazz pianist and Hammond organist, performing in combos and big bands. He currently works as a freelancer, contributing to various studio projects.
